I have a love for chair design and making. The chair is the piece of furniture we interact with most, a good chair must be comfortable, strong enough to last generations of use,

light enough to move around and attractive to look at.

The chairs I design and make are based on the tried and tested techniques of traditional British Vernacular seating. I make both sets and unique one off pieces of furniture.

I source all the timber for my chairs locally, felling some of the trees I use myself.

All my chairs come with a lifetime guarantee.

I also do interesting bespoke commissions including, beds, garden installation, seating, and one-off pieces of furniture.

When making freeform chairs I select wood with natural curves, split them in half so they match, then hand shape with a draw knife. This style of chair will have a traditional hand tooled finish, adding a rustic character to the chairs.
